Before we begin, yes I remade another journal layout because the previous 'red and rosy' one that lasted only a week looked so fugly that I wish I never made it. Make me aware about how insecure I really am, but recently I think my layout making skills are deteriorating. But besides from all of the negativity, I think the results of this current journal layout are satisfactory. The main image thingy at the top was inspired by an album of Björk's called Post, because ya know, Björk is my religion and she is the goddess that I believe in (I just really like her music XD)
So I have been doing work experience for over 2 months now and it's for a college lesson.. project.. thing? and I still am doing it to this day which I think is amazing. The first term which was on January 6th to February 10th i think, was when I had to work in this lovely café with lovely, friendly co-workers? (I'm still not used to job-related lingo).
I spent most of my Tuesday mornings just cleaning up dishes and trays that people leave. But there were some times where I did all sorts of things such as cleaning tables along with customer service where I figured out how to use a till because I am so old that I don't even understand how to use modern technology lol.
I just loved that place very much and I get feelings every now and then about how I want to go back and actually work there. The staff and co-workers were the sweetest people ever, the atmosphere was very vintage - also the only music that played in the café were from the 1970s or 80s?! Love the vintage nostalgic vibes <3
While for the second term, which is on February 24th to March 24th (which is very soon nooo ;-;), I paired up with 3 other people in my class and we went to a local vocational centre. Most people in my class are annoyingly strange to me and I'm the quietest one lol. The rest went to work on mechanical engineering, while I worked in a hair and beauty salon with a girl who I actually get along with! She's the only one in my class I actually talk to because she's normal to me...
N E way, I think the salon place is really cool; the beauty staff member and the normal girl taught me how to style nails and hair (of course!). So far, I painted 2 pairs of nails and I also straightened hair (the first pair was painted in camouflage colours, very military-core and the second pair which I prefer, is the one with a red glittery base with a white drawn heart on them).
There could be a way I could end this entry as it's ridiculously long, but I will just leave it on a cliffhanger instead make a separate entry about my second term! Bye lovelies! <3
